He was born in Mexico City on August 20, 1965. He studied at the Instituto Cumbres in Mexico and was a member of Regnum Christi. He completed a degree in Business Administration at Anáhuac University. He entered consecrated life in 1984 and joined the Legion of Christ in 1992. He was ordained a priest on December 22, 2001. He holds a doctorate in Canon Law from the Gregorian University in Rome.

He worked as a member of the general governance and as a professor at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum and at the Center for Higher Studies in Thornwood. From 2014 to 2018, he served as director of the Oxford Institute in Mexico City. In 2018, he was territorial administrator of Chile and Argentina, as well as adjunct judicial vicar of the Archdiocese of Santiago de Chile.

He is currently a community superior and serves as an ecclesiastical judge at the Interdiocesan Tribunal of Santiago and as Defender of the Bond at the Metropolitan Ecclesiastical Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Mexico.
