The Father Andreas Schöggl, L.C., was born in Austria in 1974, joined the Legion in 1993, and was ordained in 2003. He holds degrees in Philosophy and Dogmatic Theology, and from 2005 to 2010, he worked in the German section of the Vatican Secretariat of State.

He was the international director of communication for the Legion of Christ and Regnum Christi. Subsequently, from 2012 to 2018, he served as the territorial director for Western and Central Europe. Since 2018, he has been the Secretary General of the Legion of Christ.
