From Monday, October 23rd to Wednesday, October 25th, sessions were held in Rome with trainers from the various stages of formation in the Legion to deepen the Ratio institutionis and the path of its application.

The participants included novice instructors, the rector of the humanists in Cheshire, and the rectors, assistants, and some spiritual directors of the Rome communities. The meetings were led by Father Sylvester Heereman, LC; also participating were priests working in the training area within the general leadership, and Father Devin Roza, L.C., General Prefect of Studies.

Some sessions focused on reflection and exchange about the pedagogical principles of the Ratio: personalization, graduality, and the comprehensive nature of formation. Others reviewed the preparation process of the regulations for training centers and comprehensive formation projects for communities, as well as other training tools, and the training program for trainers at the centers.

Novice instructors also had some sessions to address specific aspects of the application of the Ratio and the academic program of the novitiate.

Father Eduardo Robles-Gil, LC, General Director of the Legion, was present at some sessions to listen to reflections, give guidance, and respond to questions from the trainers.
