“Ora y Camina”, the new book by Fr. Arturo Díaz, L.C., to pilgrimage through the Holy Land

Published on 25 May, 2016

“Canta y camina” is what Saint Augustine recommended for the journey of life toward the heavenly homeland. Paraphrasing that advice from the Church Father, another father, the legionary Arturo Díaz, has titled his latest book “Pray and Walk”. A work dedicated to explaining and living everything that awaits the pilgrim heading to the Holy Land. A book that was publicly presented in Jerusalem, at Notre Dame Center, by the Spanish Consul in the Holy City, Mr. Juan José Escobar, and at Francisco de Vitoria University, by Professor Salvador Antuñano.

It is a book with a didactic approach based on three questions: “What do I see?, Where is it in the Bible? and What do I take with me?”. The goal is to better grasp what is seen, relate it to the sacred text, and reflect through prayer on what has been seen and read.

“Pray and Walk” is written in chronological order, following the life and steps of Jesus through the holy places, and is accompanied by numerous images and comments about them so that the book truly becomes an authentic “pilgrim’s book”.

Father Arturo Díaz is a guide specialized in the Holy Land, where he has lived for several years dedicated to the care and guidance of pilgrims. From this experience, this work has been born to help the pilgrim take their steps through the Holy Land and shed light on their longing and need for prayer.

The book can be purchased in Spain at the store “El Escaparate”, on the campus of Francisco de Vitoria University.
