Ordenaciones Diaconales en Roma

Diaconal Ordinations in Rome

Today, May 14th, Mons. Josef Clemens, Secretary of the Pontifical Council for the Laity, ordained deacons to Fathers Benjamin Errington (United Kingdom), Carlos Zanatta (Mexico), Esteban Rodríguez (Argentina), Juan Andrés Lander (Venezuela), Lucio Boccacci (Argentina), and Michael O’Connor (United States) in the chapel of the Center for Higher Studies in Rome. A large number of Legionary priests and some diocesan and religious priests, the brothers from the communities in Rome, the consecrated members of Regnum Christi, and the lay consecrated persons living in Rome attended the Eucharistic celebration, along with family and friends of the new deacons, and some members of Regnum Christi from Italy.

Before starting the ceremony, Brother Esteban Rodríguez said: “At the end of these 12 years of journey until this day, I would like to thank very particularly God our Lord for the great and undeserved gift of my vocation; secondly, my family, for the generosity with which they have offered their son to God and the Church, especially my parents.”
