“Vocation is a gift received and a path freely chosen.”

Published on 14 July, 2025

Fr. André is leading a vocational discernment course with 15 young participants. Over the course of five weeks, they reflect on their call to holiness and explore their vocation. “The first four weeks are focused on strengthening the foundations of discernment and deepening the understanding of the universal call to holiness,” he explained. “In the final week, we present the specific vocation to the priestly and religious life within Regnum Christi, as Legionaries of Christ.”

Fr. André Blanchette, L.C., has been serving as a novice formator in Europe for the past three years. This summer, he is leading a vocational discernment course organized by the Legionaries of Christ, together with Br. Javier Bendek. Fifteen young men from various nationalities are taking part in this edition: one Spaniard, four Italians, five Germans, three Colombians, one Venezuelan, and one Cuban.

“The awareness that God has a plan for their lives is born from an encounter with Him, and it fills them with wonder and meaning,” said Fr. André.
