He was born on February 17, 1960, in Durango, Mexico. He entered the Legion of Christ in 1978 and was ordained a priest on January 3, 1991. He has held various positions in Monterrey (assistant for apostolate, manager and community superior, counselor, and confessor). He has served as section director for women in El Salvador, Acapulco, and West Mexico. He was Territorial Director from 2004 to 2013. He was a member of the territorial governing council of Regnum Christi and vice president of the RUA council. He was director of the Irish Institute and is currently the delegate for Cancún–Chetumal and a member of the governing board of the university network. He will soon defend his doctoral dissertation.
