Fr. Ramón Lucas Lucas, L.C.

Fr. Ramón Lucas, L.C., was born on January 14, 1955, in San Martín de Tábara, Zamora, Spain. He entered the Novitiate of the Legion of Christ in Salamanca on October 4, 1971. He made his perpetual profession on October 7, 1979, and was ordained a priest on December 24, 1982. Since his formative years, he has dedicated himself primarily to academic apostolate. Fr. Ramón holds a Licentiate in Theology from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome and a Doctorate in Philosophy from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.

From 1984 to 1992, he served as Prefect of Studies at the Center for Higher Studies in Rome. From 1985 to 1988, he was an assistant professor in the Faculty of Philosophy at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, and since 1992 he has been a full professor of Philosophical Anthropology and Bioethics at the same university. Since 1990, he has been a visiting professor at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum. He was a member of the Pontifical Academy for Life until 2016.

He has served as an adjunct professor at Francisco de Vitoria University; since 2006 at the European University of Rome; and since 2007 at Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid. Additionally, he is an international lecturer on topics related to philosophy and bioethics, and has published various books and articles.

Since 1990, he has been a Professor of Anthropology at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum.
