The Rev. Paul Lara, L.C., was born in Mexico City on August 7, 1971. Before beginning his priestly life, he studied International Business at St. Mary’s University (1989-1993). He entered the Novitiate on September 15, 1997, and was ordained a Legionary of Christ priest on December 22, 2007. During his life as a priest in the Legion, he has held the following positions: Assistant for ECYD, prefect of discipline, and administrator at Oaklawn Academy (2000-2003); assistant for philosophers at Thornwood (2003-2004); administrative assistant at the Pontifical International College Maria Mater Ecclesiae in Rome (2004-2007); director of the youth section in Aguascalientes (2007-2009); Local Apostolate Coordinator of Aguascalientes, community superior, and chaplain of our consecrated women (2007-2013); Local Apostolate Coordinator of Guadalajara, community superior, and assistant for the ladies’ section (2013-2015); delegate and counselor to the territorial director for the Bajío – West region (2015-2016). He is the territorial director of the Legion of Christ and a member of the Territorial Management Board of Regnum Christi in Monterrey.
