Full-time evangelizers are an apostolic work of Regnum Christi, which is at the service of bishops for parishes within dioceses.
Through a Eucharistic celebration of thanksgiving for the 15 years of full-time evangelizers in Venezuela, Cardinal Jorge Urosa, Archbishop of Caracas, acknowledged the pastoral work “at the service of the Church, especially in the most needy parishes,” he told the congregation during his homily.
The Mass took place on the liturgical feast of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, at the “Elena de Bueno” school in Caracas. The emeritus bishop, Mons. Nicolás Bermúdez, was also present, along with the Legionaries of Christ P.P. Ignacio Jordán and Francisco J. Vilarroig. Fr. Francisco is the current director of the apostolate of Full-Time Evangelizers in Venezuela.
Currently, there are 15 full-time evangelizers in Venezuela, whom Cardinal Urosa thanked, as they “are placed at the service of diocesan parishes to help them evangelize through catechetical activities.”

According to their website, “it involves laypeople, Catholic entrepreneurs, and people of good will, who through periodic financial support enable the existence of disciples and missionaries dedicated full-time.”
Among the activities they carry out are the training of catechists, home visits, Word celebrations, pre-sacramental courses for children, youth, and adults, organizing missions, identifying and promoting vocations to priesthood and religious life, organizing pilgrimages, and caring for the sick, among others.
