Fr. John Michael Bartunek, L.C.

Father John Bartunek, LC, was born on January 20, 1968, in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. He began his novitiate in Cheshire, Connecticut, on September 15, 1993, made his first profession on September 15, 1995, and his perpetual profession on October 5, 2001. He was ordained a priest on October 24, 2003, in Rome. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Stanford University (1990) and a doctorate in moral theology from the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (2010).

From 1998 to 2001, he worked in vocations and youth ministry in New England, United States. From 2009 to 2012, he was a professor at the Thornwood Center for Advanced Studies, United States, and from 2015 to 2017, he taught moral theology at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum. He has contributed to the publication of several books, including Inside The Passion (2005), The Better Part: A Christ-Centered Resource for Personal Prayer (2007), and Spiritual but not Religious: The Search for Meaning in a Material World (2019). He has also appeared as a commentator on religious issues on NBC, CNN, Fox, and BBC television networks.

De 2010 a 2012 fue presidente de la Comisión para la Revisión de las Constituciones del Territorio Norteamericano. Asimismo, fue miembro de la Comisión Central para la Revisión de las Constituciones y de la comisión para la revisión de la Ratio Institutionis de la Legión (2015-2017). Actualmente es superior de la comunidad apostólica de Detroit y desde 2016 colabora como autor y director de producción creativa del Centro de Espiritualidad Regnum Christi.

Fue miembro de la Comisión Central para la revisión de las Constituciones y miembro de la comisión para la revisión de la Ratio Institutionis de la Legión (2015-2017). Actualmente es Vicario Territorial del Territorio de Norteamérica.
