The Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum published an article by Fr. Gonzalo Miranda, LC, Dean of the Faculty of Bioethics, on the occasion of the passing of Cardinal Elio Sgreccia, who “trained numerous generations of bioethicists, especially in and from the Bioethics Center and the Institute he founded at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, in Rome, in 1985,” and was a professor at the Faculty of Bioethics of the Athenaeum. Cardinal Elio Sgreccia passed away on June 5th.

“Rest in peace, after so many years of hard and fruitful dedication to the cause of the Gospel of life. A father and a true teacher has left us for all those who, directly or indirectly, were his disciples, especially in the field of bioethics. But his example and his teaching live within us and within so many people and institutions inspired by his figure,” can be read in the article published on the Athenaeum’s website.
