Retiro de Cuaresma a sacerdotes de la arquidiócesis de Antequera (Oaxaca)

On February 21st, Father Alfonso López Muñoz, LC, director of the Logos Priesthood Center, led a Lenten retreat for 87 priests from the Archdiocese of Antequera, Oaxaca.

After years in which, due to various pastoral circumstances, they had not been able to gather in the archdiocese for this type of retreat, the priests in charge told Father Alfonso that they did not expect so many priests to participate, but the reality exceeded expectations.

Present at the retreat were the outgoing archbishop, Mons. José Luis Chávez Botello, and the auxiliary bishop, Mons. Gonzalo Calzada.

“At the beginning of this school year, we started the Logos apostolate in Oaxaca. A proposal was presented to the auxiliary bishop, the person in charge of ongoing formation in the archdiocese, and the rector of the seminary,” commented Father Alfonso López, LC.

The Logos Priesthood Center is a spirituality and theological and pastoral updating center that offers activities for the ongoing formation of priests. It is at the service of the Bishops and seeks to radiate a priestly spirituality of communion. It does so through exercises and spiritual retreats, spiritual direction, training courses, and priestly renewal.
