On the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we begin the Jubilee for 75 years of Regnum Christi in service of the Church.
Father Eduardo Robles-Gil, LC announced to us in a letter dated March 12, 2015, some concrete guidelines to consider during this time of grace:
-
A time to thank God for these 75 years as a spiritual family.
-
A time to grow in communion among the realities that make up the Regnum Christi (diocesan priests, Legionaries of Christ, consecrated women, consecrated laity, and secular members).
-
A time of reparation for our faults and of prayer and charity towards others.
-
A time to also deepen in the Papal Bull “Misericordiae Vultu” by Pope Francis, and follow the advice given by the Holy Father as preparation for the Jubilee Year of Mercy.
Furthermore, as a Catholic Movement, during this year we should strive to:
-
Participate in evangelization missions.
-
Collaborate in parish or school catechesis.
-
Live with greater commitment our apostolates within the Movement, especially the apostolate of prayer.
Other actions for the jubilee celebration proposed by the general director are:
-
Organize talks and conferences to deepen the charism of Regnum Christi and its contribution to various areas of Christian life.
-
Organize activities that provide a framework for the reunion of people who have participated in the Movement or its works.
-
Take advantage of reflection and study meetings on the Statutes of Regnum Christi that are also held this year to deepen our reason for being in the Church.
We invite all our readers to read again the presentation letter of the Jubilee Year by Father Eduardo Robles-Gil, LC, following this link.
Our participation can make a difference.
