Fr. Xavier Castro Alvarado, L.C., was born in Mexico City on December 19, 1973. He entered the novitiate of the Legionaries of Christ in 1993 in Monterrey, making his perpetual profession on October 5, 2001, at the CILC (Rome). He was ordained a priest on December 24, 2005, at the CILC (Rome). He has a solid academic background in philosophy and theology, with studies carried out in Mexico, Spain, Italy, Chile, and the United States. Throughout his consecrated life, he has held leadership and formation positions, such as superior and administrator in apostolic houses in Buenos Aires, Washington, and Aguascalientes, as well as rector of the Center for Higher Studies in Thornwood. He has also served as territorial director of Chile.

Currently, Fr. Xavier Castro Alvarado serves as territorial councilor and delegate of the territorial director for Religious Life in the Territorial Directorate of Northern Mexico, as well as extraordinary confessor at the Candidacy Program in Monterrey. His trajectory is marked by spiritual accompaniment of laypeople and religious, coordination of apostolates, and participation in leadership teams in various locations.
