Creating a Christian ethical culture: approval of Valia’s statutes

Published on 22 August, 2023
News

Last June, Valia took another step in its development process by obtaining approval of its statutes as a national apostolate from the Territorial Directive College of Northern Mexico.

This approval consolidates Valia as a recognized ethics training center in Mexico, in the territories where it has a presence and its capacity to expand to other localities.

Valia was born 15 years ago in Monterrey as an educational and apostolic work of the Regnum Christi Federation configured as an ethics training center and dependent on the Territorial Directive College of Northern Mexico. Throughout these years it has consolidated and matured, opening branches in different places in the country and even outside Mexico. Therefore, it was necessary to have statutes that established criteria for expansion and clarified the governance of Valia and its branches.

Fr. Mario Elósegui, L.C., General Director of Valia

Valia’s purpose is to create new forms of “pre-evangelization” within Regnum Christi, stop social decomposition through the promotion of values and ethics, train a greater number of people in ethical issues and bring Regnum Christi closer to society’s leaders.

A large group of ethics graduates

Valia’s mission is to create a Christian ethical culture, both preventively, offering courses and diploma programs to high school and university students, as well as to professionals; providing training to all sectors of society, with a special focus on companies, public administration, health sector and education sector. Additionally, Valia seeks to create an ecosystem among organizations and individuals interested in ethics.

Valia uses different means to achieve its mission, such as creating ethics training centers in places that meet the requirements established in the general regulations. Additionally, it offers ethical training to companies through courses, workshops, diploma programs and online micro-courses in asynchronous mode. Likewise, creating alliances with related institutions to expand its reach, form a community of professionals and entrepreneurs committed to ethics and become an ethics accreditor.

Valia’s basic program is based on four pillars: subjects related to ethics, personalized tutoring, volunteer and/or social responsibility projects, and events with ethical companies and/or organizations.

Congratulations to the entire Valia team in their work for the transformation of society in ethical values.
