“Don’t forget to pray for me”. Tenth anniversary of Pope Francis

Published on 13 March, 2023
Holy Father, News

This March 13 marks the tenth anniversary of the election of Argentine Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio as Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church

It has been a decade since Pope Francis began his pontificate, and to celebrate this date, a “map” with many virtual candles lit has been enabled, which, according to Vatican News, is “to visually show Pope Francis the support offered to him through prayer by the faithful around the world, on the eve of the 10th anniversary of his pontificate”.

The idea of highlighting the anniversary in a “viral” way originated from the Digital Synod, which launched the proposal via a link that will be active until today, March 13, the anniversary day.

Love for the Church and the pope are fundamental parts of the spirit of the Legionaries of Christ, where it is necessary to study and promote their teachings, put their mandates, guidelines, and initiatives into practice.

We share the links to the most important documents of Pope Francis so that this anniversary becomes an occasion for learning and deepening his magisterium:

Encyclicals:

Fratelli tutti (October 3, 2020)

Laudato si’ (May 24, 2015)

Lumen Fidei (June 29, 2013)

Apostolic Exhortations:
