In my heart, two concrete ideas beat that illuminate the path of my Legionary vocation. The first is the hope of living my life with Christ, both on earth and later in Heaven. The second is the desire to bring a soul to Heaven, that is, to accompany at least one person through the sacraments and spiritual direction so that they can then enjoy eternity with their Creator. These are the two realities that guide my life and were the two certainties that God engraved in me that last late September 2006 in a retreat house in Santiago, Chile.

In between, there are years of formation, hours of study and adoration, different countries and cultures, countless people, and a mountain of special memories that crowd the soul, while I am surprised to see that all the time of “initial formation” before priesthood has already passed. Thanks to God, I was able to be part of the Cumbres de Chile from childhood, then ECYD, and finally Regnum Christi. My parents, my four brothers (one of whom is also a Legionary), and my sister have always been pillars in my life, and I know they are the first to pray for my imminent priestly ministry. In the same way, I know I have so many brothers in the Legion, with face and name, who support and accompany me, whether through prayer, a message, or a concrete outing to share a simple meal and talk about how we carry this desire to bring people closer to Christ.

Currently, my harvest is the youth of Guadalajara, and how much I have learned from them! May God allow me to be a humble priest among them so they continue to fall in love with Christ and transmit that love in their lives, universities, and among their friends.

Finally, I ask you, reader of these lines, to now pray an Our Father for vocations. For those of us approaching priesthood, for those who have been in it for years, and for all the young people who feel called to be generous.
