¡Thy Kingdom Come!
June 2, 2021
Dear members of Regnum Christi,
We send you warm greetings at the beginning of this novena preparing for the solemnity of the Sacred Heart. It is in this context that we present the essay Contemplatives and Evangelizers: Apostles of the Kingdom according to the Heart of Christ.
In this essay, we seek to delve into the lifestyle of a member of Regnum Christi and how we are called to live an integrated life as contemplatives and evangelizers, based on the experience of encountering Christ, the Apostle of the Kingdom, who desires to live in me and through me. As supplementary resources, we also offer various workshop options to be carried out within our teams and communities.
As we know, the strategic alignment that the General College of the Federation has presented for the next three years invites us to be a Regnum Christi on mission, rooted in our charism. The priorities we have set motivate us to live a renewed evangelizing impulse and to deepen our understanding of our identity and mission.
In response to these priorities, from the Life and Mission area of the Federation, we are offering all members of Regnum Christi the initiative “Live the Mystery”, which aims to promote and foster a deep understanding and cordial assimilation of our charism as a path of spiritual and apostolic renewal. Through the creation of training resources and the development of experiential activities, an organic and coordinated approach to the content of the Statutes and the Laity Regulations is encouraged, to internalize, live, and communicate them.
The development and publication of thematic essays, such as the one presented here, are very concrete means to deepen the essential elements of our charism and bring them to life.
At the Feast of Christ the King in 2019, the first essay The Identity of RC according to the Statutes of the RC Federation was published. This first essay explores what it means to make the Mystery of Christ present and how we are called to live this as members of RC. Concept maps and infographics are also provided as tools to approach the content of the Statutes and Laity Regulations.
At the Feast of Christ the King in 2020, we published the essay Live the Mystery of the Kingdom, which discusses how Christ wants to make His Kingdom present in us and through us. Along with the essay, workshops are offered to help assimilate the content.
We invite you to learn about and share this material to continue promoting an RC on mission, rooted in our charism.
