Extraordinary General Chapter of the Legion of Christ

«Listening to the Holy Spirit, trying to follow His action with docility»

From November 19 to December 6, the chapter fathers met at the headquarters of the general administration, in Rome, to participate in the second part of the Extraordinary General Chapter of the Legion of Christ which, in continuity with the first part of the Chapter, addressed the canonical configuration of the RegnumChristi; reflected on the identity, mission, and specific apostolate of the Legion as part of the Regnum Christi, and approved the Regulations for the composition of the 2020 Ordinary General Chapter.

The chapter fathers commented in the 2018 Extraordinary General Chapter Statement that they experienced “the two sessions of this Chapter with their gaze primarily fixed on Jesus Christ, who has called us to be His disciples, has bestowed many gifts upon us, consecrated us through religious vows and the sacred order, and sends us with the mandate to collaborate with Him as apostles.” They also added that they “sought to listen to the Holy Spirit, trying to follow His action with docility through filial obedience to the Church, personal and communal prayer, and listening to others.”
