The P. Donal Clancy, L.C., originally from Dublin, Ireland, was born on September 27, 1948. He entered the novitiate in 1966 and made his first profession in November 1968. He obtained a license in philosophy in 1974 from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and a license in theology in 1981 from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in 1981. He completed his doctorate in philosophy at the Gregorian University in 1994. On January 3, 1981, he was ordained a priest at the parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Rome by the Servant of God, Cardinal Eduardo Pironio. For years, he has served his priestly ministry as a formator of Legionaries in Rome, being rector of the International College and a university professor at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum. Subsequently, from 2011 onwards, he was assigned to Mexico to serve as a spiritual director of Legionaries, a mission he continues to carry out to this date. He has preached multiple spiritual exercises retreats.
