The Father Rafael Pacaníns Héreter, L.C., was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on December 20, 1977. On September 15, 1995, he entered the Novitiate of the Legion of Christ in Monterrey, Mexico, and later moved to Gozzano, Italy, to complete the two years of novitiate there. He studied classical humanities in Cheshire, United States. During his apostolic practices, he collaborated in vocational and youth ministry in Mexico, El Salvador, Venezuela, and Colombia. He holds a degree in philosophy from the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, where he also studied for his bachelor’s in theology. He was ordained a priest on December 12, 2009. As an assistant to the general secretariat, he contributed to the training of vocational tours for minors and ECYD assistants in Mexico, USA, Venezuela, Colombia, Spain, and Italy. In 2011, he served as director of the youth section in the south of Mexico City. In 2015, he was appointed delegate of the territorial director for apostolate, and since 2017, territorial counselor.
