The Fr. Manuel Álvarez Vorrath, L.C., was born on May 17, 1974, in Mexico City. On September 15, 1994, he entered the Novitiate in Monterrey, Mexico. He made his first religious profession on September 15, 1996, and his perpetual profession on October 16, 2002. He was ordained a priest on December 22, 2007, in Rome. He holds a degree in philosophy from the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome. From 1999 to 2002, he was a member of the formation team at the Novitiate Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil. From 2002 to 2007, he was a member of the formation team at the Center for Higher Studies in Rome. From 2007 to 2012, he served as the head of the apostolate in Northern Italy and as superior of the apostolic community at the RC foundation in Milan, Italy. From 2012 to 2014, he was responsible for the apostolate in Tuscany and superior of the apostolic community at the RC foundation in Florence, Italy. In 2014 and 2018, he participated in the General Chapters of the Legionaries of Christ. Since 2014, he has been the territorial director of the Legion of Christ and a member of the Territorial Governing Board of Regnum Christi in Italy.
