The Father José Carlos Zancajo, L.C., was born on May 17, 1948 in Castellanos de Zapardiel, Ávila, Spain. He entered the Vocational Center of Ontaneda in 1959. He did his novitiate in Salamanca, Spain, from 1963 to 1965. He took his perpetual vows on August 9, 1970. He was ordained a priest on December 24, 1973. He holds a degree in philosophy from the Pontifical Gregorian University and in theology from the Angelicum. He also has a degree in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Valencia. From 1975 to 1978, he was director of the consecrated team of Regnum Christi in Mexico City. From 1978 to 1981, he was assistant to the territorial director of Mexico for the apostolate. And from 1981 to 1984, he served as Secretary General of the Universidad Anáhuac del Sur in Mexico City.
Since 1984 to 2014, he carried out his ministry in Caracas, Venezuela, where he has collaborated as a spiritual advisor to the sections and educational centers of Regnum Christi. He was director of the men’s section of Regnum Christi, and also a professor and chaplain at Metropolitan University of Caracas. Currently, he is the Territorial Director of the Legion of Christ and a member of the Territorial Steering Committee of Regnum Christi in Spain.
