Legionaries of Christ in Chile held spiritual exercises and study days on the «apostolic renewal».

From January 24 to February 2, the legionaries of the Chilean territory participated in their annual spiritual exercises at the Spirituality House of the Salesians in Lo Cañas, Santiago de Chile. Thirty-three legionaries took part. The preacher was Fr. Joseph Burtka, L.C., who is currently engaged in his pastoral mission as a member of the auxiliary team of the gentlemen’s section of Regnum Christi in the western part of Mexico City.

After completing the spiritual exercises, from February 3 to 6, legionaries from different communities within the territory gathered at our Finis Terrae University in Santiago de Chile for study and updating sessions. The theme of the conferences was «Apostolic Renewal», delivered by Fr. George Elsbett, L.C. The legionaries took advantage of these days to share meals and moments of intercommunity fellowship, as well as to participate in the concelebration on the occasion of the Decretum Laudis in the chapel of the Territorial Headquarters.

Training sessions like these help strengthen the legionary charism, in this case focused on the apostolic character of the Legion.
