¿Where are the boundaries of Artificial Intelligence?

The Father Alberto Carrara, L.C., doctor and academic, explains the scope of Artificial Intelligence, its development, impact on the human person, and the need to give it ethical and moral values

Within the framework of the Interuniversity Congress New Frontiers in Neuroethics, organized by the Bioethics Observatory of the Catholic University of Valencia, Father Alberto Carrara, L.C., doctor, biotechnologist, professor of philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (UPRA), and corresponding member of the Pontifical Academy for Life, stated that “Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a fact, which is developing and will help in many fields,” emphasizing that if well managed, “it can be a very useful tool” for the human being.

In his speech, he revealed various aspects of AI, such as how much we want it to develop, its current level of autonomy, how to implant ethical values and criteria, the dignity of the human person, among others.
