Paul Lara, LC, territorial director of the Legionaries of Christ, Carmen Ram\u00edrez, territorial director of the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi, and Jos\u00e9 Mateos, territorial director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/laicosconsagradosrc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Laicos Consagrados<\/a>; sent a communication to all members of the territory in which the change of name of the territory is established, transitioning from \u201cTerritorio de Monterrey\u201d to <strong>\u201cTerritorio del Norte de M\u00e9xico\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This decision responds to various factors, including the fact that the current name &#8220;Monterrey&#8221; does not reflect the reality of the entire territory. It causes confusion among some members of Regnum Christi from other cities in the country who do not identify with this name. Initially, it was decided to name the territory after a city in the state of Nuevo Le\u00f3n where the previous territorial leadership of the Legionaries of Christ was located, which is now situated in the municipality of San Pedro Garza Garc\u00eda, in the same state of Nuevo Le\u00f3n. Additionally, over these years, for those outside Regnum Christi, especially from other cities outside the state of Nuevo Le\u00f3n, the name &#8220;Territorio de Monterrey&#8221; always required explanations and clarifications.<\/p>\n<p>In the communication from the Territorial School Board, it is also mentioned that \u00abwe seek that all members of Regnum Christi in our territory feel more fully identified with this new name. Although the nomenclature is &#8220;Norte de M\u00e9xico,&#8221; the territory also includes the Baj\u00edo and Western regions of Mexico, but these are not included in the title to avoid using such a lengthy name\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>The change will take effect on January 1, 2021, and this modification has also been adopted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/consagradasrc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi<\/a>, who will also change their names in these territories to align with the change.<\/p>\n<h5><em>With information from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regnumchristi.org\/es\/mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RegnumChristi.Mx<\/a><\/em><\/h5>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On December 9th, the Territorial School Board of Monterrey, composed of P.
