Opening Prayer:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Presider:<\/em><\/strong>
\nLord Jesus Christ, King of the Regnum Christi and the Legion, we thank you for giving life to our spiritual family. We thank you for calling each of us to love and serve you and your Holy Church through the Movement. We are grateful for the many graces you have bestowed upon us in these first seventy-five years of our existence, and for the many graces you have given to the world and the Church through the Movement. With the intercession of Our Lady of Sorrows, Saint Paul the Apostle, Saint John the Evangelist, Saint Michael the Archangel, and Saint Joseph, we ask you to help us renew our love for you, for the Church, for our Movement, and for all our brothers and sisters, as we prepare to celebrate the solemnity of the reign of your Sacred Heart over the entire universe.<\/p>\n

For each day of the novena, the presider announces the passage by reading the proposed title. All present read the corresponding passage together.<\/em>
\nFriday, November 13, 2015<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\nJesus calls us by our name (Mk. 1:16-20)<\/p>\n

All:<\/em><\/strong>
\nPassing along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting their nets into the sea\u2014they were fishermen. Jesus said to them, \u201cCome, follow me, and I will make you fish for people.\u201d Immediately they left their nets and followed him. A little further on, he saw James, son of Zebedee, and his brother John, who were in their boat mending the nets. Then he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.1<\/u><\/strong><\/span>.

\nJesus reveals the merciful, personal, and passionate love of his Sacred Heart (Jn. 16:13-15; Mt. 11:28-30)<\/p>\n

\nWhen the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, because he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; for this reason I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

\nI give you a new commandment: love one another; just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples: if you have love for one another. You have heard that it was said, \u201cYou shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.\u201d But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

\nYou are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot. You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

\nJesus strengthens us and sends us to proclaim the good news of his Kingdom. (Jn. 15:16; Mt. 28:18-20)<\/p>\n

\nYou did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last; so that the Father will give you whatever you ask him in my name. I am with you always, to the end of the age.2<\/u><\/strong><\/span>.
\nWednesday, November 18, 2015<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Presider:<\/strong><\/em>
\nJesus teaches us to abstain from harsh judgment and destructive criticism. (Mt. 7:1-5, 12)<\/p>\n

All:<\/strong><\/em>
\nDo not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgment you give, it will be given to you; and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck in your neighbor\u2019s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your neighbor, \u2018Let me take the speck out of your eye,\u2019 while the log is in your own? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor\u2019s eye. Do not give what is holy to dogs; and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under foot and turn and maul you.
\nThursday, November 19, 2015<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\nJesus desires that we stay close to him. (Jn. 15:4-10)<\/p>\n

All:<\/strong><\/em>
\nRemain in me, as I also remain in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will bear much fruit; because apart from me you can do nothing. Those who do not remain in me are thrown away like a branch and wither; such branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this: that you bear much fruit and become my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father\u2019s commandments and abide in his love.

\nThrough Saint Paul, Jesus reminds us that his grace is enough for us. (Phil. 3:7-11; 2 Cor. 12:9-10)<\/p>\n

All:<\/strong><\/em>
\nWhatever gains I had, these I have come to regard as loss because of Christ. More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and I regard them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but one that comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God based on faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection, and to share in his sufferings by becoming like him in his death, so that I may somehow attain to the resurrection from the dead. \u201cMy grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.\u201d Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

\nJesus invites us to reign with him from the glorious throne of the cross. (Lk. 9:23-26)<\/p>\n

\nThen he said to all, \u201cIf any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will save it. What does it profit them if they gain the whole world, but are themselves destroyed or lost? If anyone is ashamed of me and of my words, I will also be ashamed of them when I come in my glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.\u201d

Lord Jesus,
\nPour out your Holy Spirit to inspire us with these words of Scripture.
\nRevive in our hearts a burning and profound desire to seek your face always and everywhere, to believe without limits in your Gospel, and to live fully the abundant life you have come to give us.
\nOpen our hearts each day and in every situation to receive your mercy and your truth.<\/p>\n

Increase in us the influence of the gifts of your Holy Spirit, so that we may trust more and more fully in you and be brave witnesses and apostles of yours in this wounded and needy world.
\nContinue to bless our Movement so that we may continue to serve joyfully the Church and the world. Walk with us on the path of fidelity to your Holy Name.<\/p>\n

In our fragility and smallness, always remind us:
\nIf we do not proclaim the Gospel, then who will?
\nIf today we do not announce the Gospel, then when?
\nIf not the truth of the Gospel, then what can we proclaim?2<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
