The governments of the different branches of the Regnum Christi<\/em> Movement approved four documents on March 19, 2014, the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, husband of Mary, related to the path toward an appropriate canonical configuration of the Regnum Christi<\/em> as a whole. These documents are:<\/span><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0A letter to all members of the Regnum Christi<\/em>
\n2.\u00a0A decree establishing the General Steering Committee of the Regnum Christi<\/em> Movement
\n3.\u00a0A decree establishing the Central Commission for the review of the General Statute of the Regnum Christi<\/em> Movement
\n4.\u00a0Provisional framework for collaboration in the mission of the Regnum Christi<\/em> at the general and territorial levels<\/span><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0LETTER TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE REGNUM CHRISTI<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The letter explains who participated in the meetings from March 17 to 19 in Rome, and the purpose of these meetings:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \u00abTo outline the way in which we will continue the reflection process on the Regnum Christi<\/em> as a whole to move toward an appropriate canonical configuration. This necessarily involves a deepening of the identity of the first and second degrees.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. To agree on the provisional way in which we will facilitate common direction for the apostolate, promoting proper participation and shared responsibility of all branches\u00bb.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Subsequently, the letter addresses three topics:<\/span><\/p>\n

    First, it presents the path of reflection<\/strong> that has been taken to contextualize the decisions made and to explain the motives behind them. It also proposes the stages foreseen for joint reflection: 1. Deepening in fundamental themes; 2. Reflecting specifically on the nature of the first and second degrees of the Regnum Christi<\/em> and, in particular, on the third nuance of the second degree; 3. Reflecting on the charismatic elements common to the different vocations that make up the Regnum Christi<\/em>. It is thought that the third step will conclude with the drafting of some Statutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Second, the letter invites members of the Regnum Christi<\/em> to a renewed enthusiasm in their evangelizing mission<\/strong> based on the Church\u2019s confirmation that we have received from God an authentic charism for the good of the Church and humanity.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The third topic is the explanation of the Framework for Collaboration<\/strong><\/em>, which is presented below.<\/span><\/p>\n

    2.\u00a0DECREE ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL STEERING COMMITTEE OF THE REGNUM CHRISTI<\/em> MOVEMENT<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Through this decree, the General Steering Committee of the Regnum Christi<\/em> Movement is formally established, as defined and described in the fourth part of the Provisional Framework for Collaboration. It is composed of the following persons:<\/span><\/p>\n
