Praying the rosary means continuing within us the meditation made by Mary, as the Gospel reminds us, on the events of Jesus’ life and her own.<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The remembrance of Mary should not be absent in the life of the Christian; she is the mother of Jesus and our mother. Praying the rosary means continuing within us the meditation made by Mary, as the Gospel reminds us, on the events of Jesus’ life and her own. At the same time, she is greeted and invoked.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strive to contemplate with love, serenity, and reflection the main salvific events of Christ’s life, from the virginal conception to the culminating moments of his passion, death, and resurrection, viewing them through the heart of the one who was closest to Him.<\/p>\n

Seek to combine, in the recitation of the rosary, the contemplation of the mysteries with a filial attitude, praise in<\/p>\n

the passing of the Hail Marys, adoration in the Glorias, admiration and petition in the Litanies, so that all of it exudes confidence and love for Mary.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.<\/p>\n

My Lord Jesus Christ, true God and true man. My Creator and Redeemer, because of who You are, and because I love You above all things, I am truly sorry for having offended You with all my heart. I want and firmly intend to confess my sins in due time. I offer my life, works, and efforts in satisfaction for my sins. I trust in Your infinite goodness and mercy that You will forgive me and grant me the grace not to offend You again. Amen.<\/p>\n

Mysteries of Joy<\/i><\/b> (Monday and Saturday)<\/p>\n

1. The Incarnation of the Son of God.
\n2. The Visitation of our Lady to Saint Elizabeth.
\n3. The Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
\n4. The Presentation of the Lord in the temple.
\n5. The Lost Child<\/p>\n

and found in the temple.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mysteries of Sorrow<\/i><\/b> (Tuesday and Friday)<\/p>\n

1. Jesus\u2019 prayer in the garden.
\n2. The scourging of our Lord Jesus Christ.
\n3. The crowning with thorns.
\n4. Jesus carrying the cross.
\n5. Jesus is crucified.<\/p>\n

Mysteries of Glory<\/i><\/b> (Wednesday and Sunday)<\/p>\n

1. The glorious resurrection of the Lord.
\n2. The admirable ascension of the Lord into heaven.
\n3. The coming of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles.
\n4. The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin into heaven.
\n5. The crowning of our Lady, Mother of the Church.<\/p>\n

Mysteries of Light<\/i><\/b> (Thursday)<\/p>\n

1. The Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan.
\n2. The self-revelation of Jesus at the wedding at Cana.
\n3. The announcement of the Kingdom of God inviting to conversion.
\n4. The Transfiguration of the Lord.
\n5. The institution of the Eucharist.<\/p>\n

In each mystery, pray one Our Father, ten Hail Marys, and one Glory.<\/p>\n

After the fifth mystery, add the Salve Regina<\/p>\n

Salve Regina<\/p>\n

Hail, Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, sweetness, and hope. Hail, Queen, and our Mother. To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us, and after this exile, show us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!<\/p>\n

II. Family Rosary<\/b><\/p>\n

When praying the rosary as a family, it is initiated by the guide who announces each of the mysteries and the general intention; five of the participants may present the intentions for which the family wishes to offer each of the mysteries.<\/p>\n
