To delve deeper into aspects such as formation, accompaniment, cultural challenges and the work of the Legionaries, the assembly of territorial directors and the meeting of territorial secretaries was held in Rome.<\/p>\n

From September 18 to 27, at the general headquarters of the Legionaries of Christ in Rome, the meeting of territorial directors and territorial secretaries took place to address different aspects related to the Legion. In both meeting spaces, work agendas focused on strengthening consecrated life, challenges in the government of the Legion, preparation for the General Convention 2024<\/a>, the area of priestly life, promotion of safe environments, among others, were developed.<\/p>\n

Assembly of Territorial Directors<\/strong><\/p>\n

The territorial directors from more than 21 countries where the Legion has a presence held meetings and work sessions with the government and general council of the Congregation to work on different topics related to accompaniment, vocations, charism, mission and apostolate, based on the fact that they “second and apply the priorities of the general director in their territory” (CLC, 185).<\/p>\n

For Father John Connor, L.C., general director of the Congregation, this meeting allowed “opening spaces so that from each territorial direction all Legionaries can be accompanied in order to guide and help strengthen their vocation as members of the Legionary family and of Regnum Christi.” In addition, he adds, “this meeting allowed us to work on the preparation of the General Convention<\/a>, as Legionaries, and to promote the mission and action plan in each territory<\/a> <\/a>where the Congregation has a presence.”<\/p>\n

It was also possible to “address the different challenges found in the government of the Legion, the Common Works and Regnum Christi as a whole,” as indicated by Father Luis Alberto Henao, L.C., general secretary of the Legion of Christ, who highlights the discussion of topics such as challenges and improvements in initial formation: challenges and actions to implement, and how to help Legionaries work in “communities of apostles.”<\/p>\n

In this way, the territorial directors continue working in their localities and in full common mission with the General Direction.<\/p>\n

Meeting of Territorial Secretaries<\/strong><\/p>\n

Taking into account that the territorial secretary “helps the territorial director in management (…) and it is his obligation to make known to the territorial director each and every matter relating to the Congregation that is intended for the territorial director” (CLC, 203), the figure and mission of the territorial secretary, formation, the area of priestly life, promotion of safe environments, the challenges that arise today in consecrated life, among other topics, were the themes worked on in their meeting.<\/p>\n

Thus, progress was made on the proposed points, generating work synergies taking into account the characteristics of each territory, exchanging challenges and experiences and proposing concrete action plans related to supporting local and general government plans.<\/p>\n

In addition, there were dialogue spaces with different areas of the Congregation, such as communications and safe environments, among others, who made known to the secretaries their lines of work, implemented actions, future projects and how to work together.<\/p>\n

These meetings, and the different spaces for work, dialogue and formation that are generated, are an opportunity to strengthen the leadership of territorial secretaries.Para profundizar en aspectos como la formaci\u00f3n, el acompa\u00f1amiento, los desaf\u00edos culturales y el trabajo de los legionarios, se desarroll\u00f3 la asamblea\u00a0de directores territoriales y el encuentro de secretarios territoriales en Roma.<\/p>\n

Del 18 al 27 de septiembre, en la sede general de los Legionarios de Cristo, en Roma, se desarroll\u00f3 el encuentro de directores territoriales y de secretarios territoriales, para abordar diferentes aspectos relacionados con la legi\u00f3n. En ambos espacios de encuentro, se desarrollaron agendas de trabajo enfocadas en el fortalecimiento de la vida consagrada, los retos en el gobierno de la legi\u00f3n, la preparaci\u00f3n de la\u00a0Convenci\u00f3n General 2024<\/a>,\u00a0el \u00e1rea de vida sacerdotal, la promoci\u00f3n de ambientes seguros, entre otros.<\/p>\n

Asamble de Directores Territoriales<\/strong><\/p>\n

Los directores territoriales de los m\u00e1s de 21 pa\u00edses en donde tiene presencia la legi\u00f3n tuvieron reuniones y jornadas de trabajo con el gobierno y el consejo general de la Congregaci\u00f3n para trabajar diferentes temas relacionados con el acompa\u00f1amiento, las vocaciones, el carisma, la misi\u00f3n\u00a0y el apostolado, teniendo como base que “secundan y aplican en su territorio las prioridades del director general” (CLC, 185).<\/p>\n

Para el padre John Connor, L.C., director general de la Congregaci\u00f3n, este encuentro permiti\u00f3 “abrir espacios para que desde cada direcci\u00f3n territorial se pueda acompa\u00f1ar a todos los legionarios para as\u00ed orientar y ayudar a fortalecer su vocaci\u00f3n como miembros de la familia legionaria y del Regnum Christi”. Adem\u00e1s, agrega, “este encuentro nos permiti\u00f3 trabajar en la preparaci\u00f3n de la\u00a0Convenci\u00f3n General<\/a>, como legionarios, y en promover la misi\u00f3n y el plan de acci\u00f3n en\u00a0cada territorio<\/a>\u00a0<\/a>en donde hace presencia la Congregaci\u00f3n”.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n se pudo “abordar los diferentes retos que se encuentran en el gobierno de la Legi\u00f3n, las Obras Comunes y el Regnum Christi como un todo”, como lo indica el padre Luis Alberto Henao, L.C., secretario general de la Legi\u00f3n de Cristo, quien destaca la discusi\u00f3n de temas como los retos y mejoras en la formaci\u00f3n inicial: retos y acciones a implementar, y c\u00f3mo ayudar a los legionarios a trabajar en \u201ccomunidades de ap\u00f3stoles\u201d.<\/p>\n

De esta forma, los directores territoriales siguen trabajando en sus localidades y en plena misi\u00f3n com\u00fan con la Direcci\u00f3n General.<\/p>\n

Encuentro de Secretarios Territoriales<\/strong><\/p>\n

Teniendo en cuenta que el secretario territorial “ayuda al director territorial en la gesti\u00f3n (…) y es obligaci\u00f3n suya dar a conocer al director territorial todos y cada uno de los asuntos relativos a la Congregaci\u00f3n que est\u00e9n destinados al director territorial” (CLC, 203), la figura y misi\u00f3n del secretario territorial, la formaci\u00f3n, el \u00e1rea de vida sacerdotal, la promoci\u00f3n de ambientes seguros, los retos que se presentan hoy d\u00eda en la vida consagrada, entre otros temas, fueron los temas trabajados en su encuentro.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed, se logr\u00f3 avanzar en los puntos propuestos, generando sinergias de trabajo teniendo en cuenta las caracter\u00edsticas de cada territorio, intercambiando desaf\u00edos y experiencias y proponiendo planes de acci\u00f3n concretos relacionados con el apoyo a los planes de gobierno local y general.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, se cont\u00f3 con espacios de di\u00e1logo con diferentes \u00e1reas de la Congregaci\u00f3n, como lo son comunicaciones y ambientes seguros, entre otras, quienes dieron a conocer a los secretarios sus l\u00edneas de trabajo, acciones implementadas, proyectos futuros y c\u00f3mo trabajar conjuntamente.<\/p>\n
