The film \u201cHoly Land. The Last Pilgrim\u201d<\/strong>, directed by Andr\u00e9s Garrig\u00f3 and Pablo Moreno, produced by Goya Producciones, will arrive in Mexican cinemas in August.<\/p>\n

The film, released on May 21, 2021, in Spain, tells the story of a family going through a crisis, where the marriage is not thriving and the children seem distant. It is then that the idea of traveling to the Holy Land arises. During the trip, they encounter lives and testimonies of faith that will change their way of valuing and loving each other.<\/p>\n

The cast of main actors includes: Susi Lillo, Carlos Ca\u00f1as, \u00c1lex Larumbre, Rafa Jim\u00e9nez, Wendy Gara, Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Cort, and Magdalena Cort. Meanwhile, the testimonies within the film are narrated by: P. Juan Solana, LC, P. Arturo D\u00edaz, LC, Fr. Nicol\u00e1s Marquez, OFM, Fr. Aquilino Castillo OFM, Fr. Marwan Davis OFM, H. Marian Qalb Yasue, Karl-Heinz Fleckenstein, Isabel Domarco, Jes\u00fas Garc\u00eda, Halil Haniya, Cristina Somoza, Miguel Euscate, Florentino Portero, Vincenzo Bellomo, and Sami Dababneh.<\/p>\n

Father Juan Solana, LC, who has been living in the Holy Land for 17 years, shares in his testimony in the film that \u201cwe have been here for months without receiving a single pilgrim\u201d<\/em>. Despite the pandemic, the Legionary of Christ priest, along with the team from the Centro Magdala<\/a>, carried out virtual pilgrimages that have helped thousands of people. \u201cWe are here to lead people to know and visit the mysteries of God\u201d<\/em>, Juan Mar\u00eda Solana, LC, founder of the Centro Magdala in the Holy Land, commented.<\/p>\n

The Holy Land is the territory composed of the places where the events of salvation history took place, both from the Old and New Testaments. The territories it covers include: Israel, Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, and Crete. However, among them are the so-called \u201choly places,\u201d which are: Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Mount Sinai, the Jordan River, the Sea of Galilee, and the Judean Desert.<\/p>\n

This docudrama aims to inspire families to find their mission and conversion and to encourage them to fight for the new generations of Catholics, to whom the world is selling a distorted image of family and faith.<\/p>\n

The message the film seeks to convey is to fight against the viruses of indifference and unbelief. Additionally, it raises awareness that Christians living in the Holy Land are emigrating in search of work. To this, the filmmakers pose the question: \u201cWill the Land of Christ be left without Christians?\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n
