I ask Jesus to allow me to be prudent, dedicated, always available to the needs of the trusted youth. I have felt very welcomed by the entire Regnum Christi community here in Colombia and I trust in God&#8217;s grace, which never abandons His children in times of need,\u00bb comments Fr. Alexis G\u00e1tica, LC, who has just arrived in the Colombia-Venezuela territory as the new director of the youth section of Regnum Christi in Medell\u00edn.<\/p>\n<p>Father Alexis was born in Chile on January 18, 1984. He is the third of four children. He joined the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecyd.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ECYD<\/a> in August 1996. He entered the vocations center of the Legion of Christ in Santiago de Chile. He did his novitiate first in S\u00e3o Paulo (Brazil) and then moved to Medell\u00edn, Colombia (2001-2003). He completed his humanistic studies in Salamanca, Spain. He holds a degree in philosophy and a bachelor&#8217;s in theology from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upra.org\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum<\/a> in Rome, Italy. He collaborated as a studies prefect at the vocational centers of Porto Alegre (Brazil) and Santiago de Chile for four years (2006-2010), and at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legionariosdecristo.org\/direcciongeneral\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Headquarters of the General Directorate<\/a> as an assistant to the General Secretariat, the Office of Institutional Communication, and the General Studies Prefecture (2010-2015).<\/p>\n<p>He was ordained a priest on December 12, 2015, in Rome. During these six years of priestly ministry since his ordination, he has been a formator of the novitiate in Spain when it was located in Salamanca (2015 \u2013 2018), director of the youth section and training instructor at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.highlandssevilla.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Highlands School Sevilla<\/a> (2018 -2021), and responsible for the new youth and vocational pastoral project in Salta, Argentina, from November 2021 until February 2022.<\/p>\n<h5><em>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regnumchristi.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">regnumchristi.co<\/a><\/em><\/h5>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00abI receive this new mission with great responsibility in my heart, for I know that accompanying and forming young people is both a grace and a challenge.
