Mission of the universities of the <\/span><\/span>Regnum Christi: <\/span><\/span>Conference of the <\/span>Master Jos\u00e9 Mata at the International College<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

On December 8, the brothers from the Philosophy Community of the International College<\/a> participated in a conference with <\/span>Master Jos\u00e9 Mata, president of the International University Network <\/a><\/span><\/span>Regnum<\/span><\/span><\/span> Christi<\/span><\/span><\/span>) and rector of the Puebla Anahuac University<\/a>, and Fr. Jes\u00fas Villagrasa, LC. <\/span>This conference focused on one of the training objectives during the philosophy period: to identify with the mission of <\/span><\/span>Regnum<\/span><\/span><\/span> Christi<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to explaining what RIU is, Master Mata vividly conveyed to the brothers the need for thorough formation for the Legionary’s mission in today’s world. Specifically, he mentioned solid intellectual formation, deep spiritual formation, willpower and discipline, and the capacity for execution and work.<\/span><\/p>\n

Encounter with Mons. Jorge Carlos Patr\u00f3n Wong<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

On December 10, Mons. Jorge Carlos Patr\u00f3n Wong, bishop-elect of the arch<\/span>diocese of Xalapa and until then secretary <\/span>for the seminaries <\/span>of the Congregation for the Clergy<\/a>, <\/span>met with the different generations of the Philosophy community with the goal of saying goodbye before returning to Mexico. <\/span>He had a more extended meeting with the first-year brothers, where they shared their impressions of <\/span>their<\/span> first months in Rome.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a farewell, on Sunday the 19th, Mons. Jorge Carlos dined with the formation teams of the International College.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Contemplatives and Evangelizers: The Lifestyle of the Apostle of the Kingdom Presented from the Dynamics of Encounter with Christ<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The weekend of December 11 and 12, the monthly Formation Day of the Philosophy community was held, organized together with the Life and Mission area of <\/span>Regnum<\/span> Christi to deepen into the essay \u201cContemplatives and Evangelizers<\/a>\u201d, connecting it with the activity of Encounter with Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the words<\/span> of Viviana Lim\u00f3n, consecrated member of Regnum Christi<\/a>: \u201cthe Encounter with the living Christ does not leave us the same, but gives us a new perspective on our history\u201d.<\/span> It is a path to know and live our charism and mission.<\/span><\/p>\n

Father <\/span>Sylvester<\/span> Heer<\/span>e<\/span>n, LC<\/span>\u00a0pointed out some paths <\/span>or<\/span> ways to be contemplative and evangelizers according to our own charism: gratitude (letting ourselves be gifted and knowing how to gift), adoration, and sharing our own life.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Emilio Mart\u00ednez, lay consecrated member of <\/a><\/span><\/span>Regnum<\/span><\/span><\/span> Christ<\/span><\/span><\/span>i<\/span><\/span><\/span>,<\/span> conducted a historical overview of the Encounter with Christ, which originated as a method of apostolic discernment in the Christian Youth Workers, with the goal of forming from life and for life, identifying events, seeing them as God sees them, and giving an evangelical judgment.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The second part was<\/span> focused<\/span> on the different parts of the Encounter with Christ. The <\/span>Father <\/span>Anton<\/span> Vogelsang, LC<\/span> led the evangelical reflection based on the passage that most clearly describes a day in the life of Jesus (Mark<\/em> 1:21) and analyzed it based on the essay <\/span><\/span>Contemplative and Evangelizer<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The last two modules<\/span>, in which Father Rafael <\/span>Ducci, LC,<\/span> and Brother Jaime Plascencia, LC,<\/span> participated, were focused on the <\/span>believing reading of the reality and <\/span>the <\/span>purposes<\/span> of the <\/span>encounter. To do this, the <\/span>brothers were divided into their different teams analyzing <\/span>some current social situations<\/span>\u00a0with the aim of \u201cdiscovering the seeds of God present in culture\u201d, and reflecting on how, from their current situation, they can commit themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
