the Church in the name and person of Christ the head and shepherd\u00bb. Priestly identity is expressed in the service we are called to carry out for the faithful: the priest is a\u00a0 minister of mercy, gives to men \u201cthe bread of God that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world\u201d (John 6:33), and preaches the Word.
